Dying to Love by Reese Rivers

I don’t know what about this book is so amazing but the FMC is unhinged and I love it. She’s just the perfect amount of crazy from being alone but still somehow not totally off her rocker either. The MMCs are an interesting bunch but I love each of them for who and what they are.

It’s a great post-apocalyptic story that’s somehow spicy, tragic and heart-warming all at the same time.

I was seduced by an Instagram quote and I have no regrets. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into but I loved this way more than I expected. It was dark and spicy, and a very unique reimagining of the Rapunzel fairytale, with a why-choose twist.

Zella was a good FMC considering her history and circumstance. The MMC’s are all damaged in their own way, with their own traumatic pasts, but still loveable.

I just loved this story and I can’t wait to see what else Flood has written!

The Satyr part didn’t even phase me. Do people really travel and have sex with strangers like that irl?

I love redheads, especially a red head MMC. I am starting to love cinnamon roll MMCs more and more, although gray will forever by my favorite color
Tis the Season for Revenge by Morgan Elizabeth

A Hallmark version of Legally Blonde but pettier and hot sex.

Overall, I liked this book. I liked Damien, and I liked Abbie. I think their characters make sense and their choices aren’t dumb or illogical. The revenge plan is hilarious and satisfying. Damien is a stand-up guy that is a little too forgiving and easy-going when it comes to Abbie so that made the story really easy.

This is my first Elizabeth Morgan book; the writing is great but maybe the style isn’t for me. The way that the scenes and thoughts were interrupted by long internal monologues really disrupted the flow of the story and really bore me at times. For example, page 52-53 (ebook) she goes off on a tangent about how color is leaving the world and she didn’t recognize herself blah blah blah. It’s less flashback and more have a full-on conversation in her own head while standing there on her date with Damien. This is their first time meeting in person and as a reader, I am anxious to see if they hit it off and to get their story going.

Dick got what he deserved in the end and that’s all I really cared about.

This book was a whirlwind and I was never bored. The first 60 pages were a blur and set everything up so well. The olfactory imagery in this book was *chefs kiss* I need a candle with every character’s scent to read along with this book. I need a candle with every alpha’s scent to read along with this book.

This omega, Juno, takes her life and power back from the Alphas that forced a bond on her. She is able to break those bonds and is empowered to find herself, choose her Alphas and decide if they’re worthy of HER

I love a scarred MMC who’s self-conscious about it. Typical friends to lovers trope, with good spice. A little bit of a burn and some flashback to help give their friendship depth.

It was cute, it was cozy, it was spicy. Good monster holiday read if you’re looking for something light and easy.

*I received an ARC of this book but opinions are my own*
