Long review:
This book……oh my god
This book follows a girl named iris who works for a newspaper publication and is competing with a boy called roman for a promotion. Her brother is missing, he was forced to go to war by a goddess who can enchant people with music. We follow iris’s journey as she looks for her brother and discovers herself in this process.

What I loved:
✨The chemistry between the leads. I love it The way they talk to each other? I was legit trying not squeal at 2 am on a Tuesday reading this book while my fam was asleep.
✨The writing was so mesmerising.

What I didn’t like:
✨The female lead could’ve been more ambitious/competitive. I feel like we were constantly told they are fighting of the position but never really shown and that was a bit disappointing.
✨The cover and title were misleading asf. Divine rivals? I thought this was going to be a cozy dark academia enemies to lovers and imagine my surprise when she dropped out of school in the first chapter!

It hit home. I cried.

.....what a book.

But maybe that's the point. That there's no point. I loved it. idk why. This book left me feeling so empty

The writing style was enjoyable, and the premise is fascinating but the ending left a lot to be desired.

worst book i've ever read bye

Thanks to this book I now check trigger warnings before reading any book.
