“It’s hard to let go of productivity as self-worth because in this culture, when we meet one another we say ‘what do you do’. Which is code for ‘how important are you’ and ‘do I need to know you?’.”

Lots of really important things are covered in this audiobook, but it was longer than necessary. It was a live talk so I understand not cutting anything out, but the topics would have had more prominence if it had been shorter. I didn't enjoy the parts about anxiety, it felt like anxiety as a mental health problem was ignored/dismissed.

Couldn't put this one down! Started to figure out what was happening earlier than I would have liked, but it was still super suspenseful and had me reading away dinner time - which is always a good sign! A dark, exciting, quick read.
