damn this book started out mildly boring and ended also mildly boring and i didn't like mare for most of the book. but the end 1/3 somewhat redeemed it with the action scenes at the jail etc.

I truly did not expect the Celeste twist. The grim betrayal was expected but not the falling in love part. I feel like the impact of the betrayal was muted since immediately after Isla was still down to sacrifice everything for him.

Apart from the plot, the writing style was meh and not my favorite.
