1.5

1.5 ⭐ just for Josh, Theo and a few things I liked in the book. This book, like it ends with us, had the potential to be a better one but Coho decided to write trash so here it is. No hate intended tho.

read better books on domestic abuse maybe? i respect the author and her mother but this wasn't the right way, i guess? absolutely hate the fact that this book is being read by 13-18 years old and romanticising Ryle's behaviour, the man was red flag since the time he clicked Lily's picture without her consent and it was really dumb of Lily to like it. anyways, it was still better than Verity.

It's a brilliant book. It reminds me of my grandmother, at times and how the grief still stays with me even after 10 years. Do we ever really heal from the loss of mothers?

"Firdaus and women like Firdaus have more courage than any of us" is all I can say about this book.
