Little Weirds by Jenny Slate

I really enjoyed many bits of this book -- especially the bits towards the end, I feel like Slate really hit her stride in the second to last chapter --  but I also felt that it was largely repetitive with a lot of its ideas, circling the same insights and intricacies of life. A good debut, I think with some refinement and growth, a second novel has some amazing potential. The imagery of the old dog with flowers on his face made me smile, and I would also very much enjoy being just a little mouse.
