I liked it but there wasn’t much of any substance to the story. It was great but could have used some more action and depth.

It was very short. There were so many holes In this story, it didn’t feel like the characters were even alive. It’s erotica and I did get in that mode, but only once. Spice level is 1.

I really enjoyed learning about a different culture with this book. The characters and community were so fleshed out.

I could relate a lot to Queenie. Even though she’s not based in the US, I still could understand the troubles she faced.

Just too many technical terms. I’ll try again another time.

Nice plot twist. Didn’t expect anything. I wanted to give it a 5 star, but for some reason I can’t. It’s not lacking in any area that I can communicate… it just feels empty towards the end.

This is the second time I have DNFed this book. I am done trying. The book is just boring overall.

I never really like to rate memoirs or nonfiction of this sort because I feel like I’m not supposed to find entertainment in someone sharing their story. But the reason I gave this  book 4 stars is because, towards the middle I completely zoned out. I was here and wasn’t all at the same time. That was the only flaw of the book. Some things could have been left out, I feel, but again it’s not my place to judge someone’s life.

This book shows a lot of emotion and conveys the “traumatic girlhood” identity well. I feel I would have enjoyed it more if I could relate to the relationship that was expressed in this book. Overall great read and would recommend to anyone who is going through a breakup!
