For Wrath and Redemption by Brit Benson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 0%.
There is an unplanned pregnancy trope which was never mentioned when I apply for the ALC (and after).
This is a major trigger warning for me.
Unfortunately I didn’t listen to it.

The audio is narrated in dual by Amanda Dumas, Jameson Adams, Ace Bentley, Scott Rose and Tor Thom
It would have been perfect if it was a duet :)

Tropes
Why choose FMMMM
Traumatized MCs
Mute MMC
Cult
Revenge

Let me get this straight: WTF did I just read?!?
That was not what I expected and it was good.
It is as unhinged as “Don’t stop” by Lauren Biel, mixed with really disturbing subjects as in “Hunting Adaline” by H. D. Carlton AND a revenge story like “The Mindf*ck series” by STAbby.
This is a REALLY dark reverse harem with a serial unaliver FMC, a cult, very disturbed MMCs and unhinged side characters.
This is not for everyone. Please check the trigger warnings below.

Beach Read is narrated brilliantly by Julia Whelan

This story is more than just a summer romance—it’s a story about grief, healing, and finding love even when you’ve stopped believing in it.

January writes feel-good romances with happy endings, while Gus writes literary fiction filled with tragedy and darkness. But January has a writer block. Why? Because since her father’s death, everything she believed in felt apart.
And Gus… well read the book and you’ll know why he is so rude.

Gus and January’s journey is swoon-worthy, funny but also heartwarming and deep. It’s an emotional rollercoaster in the best way, and by the end, you’ll be rooting for their happily ever after just as much as they are.

Tropes

Duet narration by Regina Marquez and Daryl Mayfield

I absolutely loved Rowan and Mila’s story.

- mafia
- age gap
- kind of enemies to lovers with a bit of Stockholm syndrome
- Hilarious and sunchine FMC
- grumpy tense MMC
- Slow burn

I really laugh out loud many times because of the banter between them.
And I really am a sucker for mobsters who speak a foreign language
that the FMC doesn’t understand.

That was awesome 🤩
JT Geissinger is the best for writing plots you don’t see coming.

Kade is the epitome of a mafia boss. Tall, big, captivating…
And he speaks straight from the heart as much as filthy thoughts as loving ones.
I flushed so many time.
Nat is resilient. She’s been through the mourning of her disappeared fiancé. She’s been turning upside down by Kade. Because she didn’t see him coming with his heart on his hand and his sharp frank tongue.

Sloane really deserved her own book, she is the queen of banter and don’t take shit from men. I love her SO MUCH.
“Being with a man twenty-four hours a day is exhausting” I fell ya sister.

The audiobook is narrated by Brooke Daniels, Troy Duran and Michelle Sparks
It is a brilliant duet. Troy’s voice is perfect to embody a mafia boss.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
chap 27  is the best spǎnking session I’ve ever read 🥵

This audio is perfect, narrated in duet by Stella Hunter & Stephen Dexter
It’s rare that I’m moved while reading or listening but Stephen brought me to tears at chapter 40 that I had to pause the audio to call down.

Tropes:
Rockstar romance
Fake dating
Enemies to lovers
Found fucked up family
Boy obsessed

Content warning:
Addiction
Drug use
Car accident
Injury details

After letting my feelings all over the place with Sav & Levi's story (the first book "Between Never and Forever"), I've let myself fall in love with Callie & Torren's one.
Brit has a unique way of writing powerful, sensual, tortured and complex characters.
It was perfect.
Can’t wait for Jonas’s story (for which you’ll really have to read the Next life duet first because it involves Claire and you’ll meet her there first).

This duet is the easiest 5 ⭐️ I gave in months
The audiobook is narrated perfectly, in duet by JF Harding and Lidia Dornet.

Tropes:
Still enemies to lovers
Hate / Love - Hurt / Confort
They don’t know each other anymore.
Forced proximity
Misunderstanding trope on so many levels.

Content warning:
Self-arm
Depression
Miscarriage (mention)

I cried, I smiled, I felt deep sadness, I grieved. And then my heart was finally put back together.

This book wrecked me—in the best way. Macon and Lennon’s story is raw, messy, and packed with so much emotion it hurts. Four years after being torn apart, she’s back, and their connection is just as intense.

I know everyone is mad at Claire. But I really feel for her, she carries her own trauma and she made big mistakes. I am glad that I will find her healing story in “FOR WRATH AND REDEMPTION”.

I think it’s best to prepare yourself.
The story is as beautifully written as it is devastating. It’s a page-turner, and I’m relieved that the second book is available because I couldn’t stand that cliffhanger.

Tropes:
Childhood enemies to lovers
High school
Nice girl/trouble boy
Multi faceted characters

Content warning:
Drug use
Drug abuse (OD on page)
Bullying
Suicide

Macon and Lennon’s story is filled with angst, passion, and toxicity. It’s the kind of book that frustrates you, breaks your heart, and keeps you hooked until the very end.

No one is entirely right, and no one is entirely to blame—except maybe Claire and Macon’s father. Every character, both main and side, exists in a morally grey area.

See you in the next life…

This audiobook is narrated in duet by Gregory Salinas and Geneva Mitchell.
Geneva gives Reggie the sharp wit and sass she deserves. It’s perfect.

I enjoyed every minute of this book. Give me a strong-willed, sassy, and smart FMC and a broody, emotionally closed-off bodyguard (who’s never even kissed a woman - love that micro-trope), and I’m all in.

Roan (the third Fox’s brother) and Reggie’s dynamic is electric, full of bickering, sexual tension, and moments of unexpected tenderness.

This story is a wild ride from start to finish, with a jaw-dropping (and pretty disturbing) climax and an ending that will leave you hanging in the best way. 😏
Bonus: Her pettiness when the enemies-to-lovers tension is at its peak (think Nair and hot pepper) 🤣

This book doesn’t just focus on romance, it has a dark and compelling mystery at its core, packed with cartel politics, gruesome murders, and a serial killer on the loose.

The slow burn is really slow, until it’s not 👌🏻

This story feels like “Indiana Jones meets Lost” but with a badass heroine caught between three very different men.

Tropes
Light why choose
Journey in the rainforest
Forced proximity
Slow burn
Inexperienced FMC
Supernatural element

Scarlett is smart, passionate, and inexperienced but she’s also incredibly strong. (She’s in the middle of the rainforest, chasing her own adventure, so yeah, this girl has guts.)
Nash, the rugged and protective captain, has a soft heart beneath his gruff exterior.
James, the arrogant investor, is battling his own demons and family baggage.
And then there’s Camp the wildcard, the stowaway.

Together, they set off on a treasure hunt that quickly turns into something far more dangerous.

The rainforest itself is almost a character in this book. The descriptions are so vivid that I could practically feel the sticky heat, hear the hum of insects, and sense the looming danger.

Everything builds slowly but surely, and when you reach the end, make sure to read the alternative ending on Torri’s website.

The why choose part is light and the spice too. This is absolutely not the point of this book, the plot is far too much interesting!

This book isn’t just an adventure, it’s an experience. It’s thrilling, gripping, and lingers in your mind long after you finish.
The quantum immortality theory will hit you hard. For me, it was mind-bending. I was caught in so many possible endings…
