I think this one fulfills the promise of the concept for this series (a mystery at a special school for kids from different portal fantasy worlds) the best out of all of them.  

Really good and strong first book! I think the narrative is super tight, I really enjoy all the characters introduced.  I enjoy Nancy's character arc in this on, and I like how it resolves (although I fear that may be an unpopular opinion).
