This was such a fun read! Knowing that someone like Jack Saul existed makes me very happy. The author wrote this in a style more akin to a fictional book so rather than this book just being a set of dates and facts he really builds Jack’s story. I really enjoyed that because as exciting as Jack Saul was if written differently the book could have been boring. This book definitely kept me engaged throughout.

This was one of my most anticipated releases this year so I was really excited to read this! It was so adorable! I loved reading both Lou and Clementine’s POVs and their stories unfolding both past and current and how they intertwine. The conflict of them both being unreasonably stubborn and really non communicative started to grate on my nerves toward the end and then it being solved almost instantly. Even with that though Clem and Lou are some of my favorite characters.

Emma’s wishy washiness back tracked in this book a little bit. Her character is just really inconsistent. I wish there had been more of a character arch for her with some of the things she’s said in previous books and now saying something completely different, that’s kind of a big thing, in this one. Side characters stories are still super interesting they really keep me sucked in to the story.

This wasn’t my typical kind of read but I did end up enjoying it more then I thought I would. I would describe this as almost Hotel Queen vibes if the characters were younger. This was a really cute little read!

There’s more characters being introduced, and old storylines being added onto, but sometimes I feel like there may be too much going on. It can be a little hard to follow at times. I still really like the side characters a lot and Cain and Emma are continuing to work on their relationship.

I saw the definite authors voice and similarities to her other Club Pétale series, and the similarities in all her books. This one was way too short for me I wish there were more. Overall a really solid read.

I preferred this one over book one! I liked having that story in my head so I knew who all the characters were, most of them anyway, and I liked all the new characters being introduced. Where the first was more fun and light, this one has those things while also having a lot of depth to it.

Emma is continuing to get closer to how she was in the prologue book and her wishy washiness and character inconsistencies are slowly getting better. I still like Cain as a character, but I really prefer the side characters storylines. Their relationships and stories are really well written and interesting. The audiobooks are back to the narrator I prefer in this one and it made it easier to focus on the story.

This book does a really good job of introducing you to the world within the story without overloading, or info dumping while still giving enough to show how much potential this book has to be a series. I really liked reading all the characters who were so fun and interesting. Aurora and Harper have tons of chemistry. This was definitely one of my top reads this month!

This has a lot of the same issues I had with the last book except now Cain and Emma have come back together. Their relationship feels very forced and I found myself enjoying the side characters stories more. I like Cain and I just feel like if Emma were different or just not in the books at all it would be so much better. I’m listening to this series and this book and the last one has a narrator that I didn’t like as much as the prologue book. I gave it half a star more because toward the end their relationship and Emma start to improve and they get back more to how they were in the prologue book.
