Another “ripper” from Australian author Shelley Burr. It had me compelled start to finish. Between this and WAKE, Burr casts an eye on the true crime community and the ways in which their interest affects the victims and families of victims of violent crime, and it is apparent that this is an area of interest for her.
My one major criticism is that though the twists and turns towards the end kept me guessing and compelled to finish the book as fast as possible to know what happened next, I couldn’t help but feel that there was either one twist too many or that the twists banked up too quickly. More space to breathe between one or two of these may have helped the book considerably.
