IT ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER KILL ME.
it was really great otherwise, loveeddd the characters, plot was good, but the writing was kinda like if someone transcribed a movie into a book. also the yelling being shown by typing in all caps annoyed me a little lmao just say that the characters are yelling. it was really easy to get through because the story was captivating. the worldbuilding was definitely my favourite part though, it was done so well and it wasn't too hard to follow at all.

I knew teo wasn't gonna kill auristela but the ending still surprised me BECAUSE THE PART WITH XIO LITERALLY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE I DID NOT EXPECT THAT AT ALLLLL

Literally the worst book ever written, don't waste your time reading something marketed as some cool pirate adventure story when it's just some disgusting r-pe fantasy, and the fetishization of queer men. No one in this book actually likes each other, they just like power and power dynamics.
