This might be my favorite of the three books.
The first 25% of the book was a slow start for me, but I devoured the book after that. I like that the miscommunication trope was mostly dropped in favor of the “we’re both aware of why we are pushing the other away” thing. In the end, it made sense and helped the book to read as a more adult story.
I can’t tell if I’m a fan of the direction the third amplifier took, or I’m hating on it…either way, I was also overly emotional at the end, but now I miss reading about Mal, Alina, the Grisha, and the Darkling.
Overall I thought this was a great way to finish this trilogy.
