funny, well written, suspenseful. this is actually everything i want from a romance book even though it supposedly isnt. this author writes characters so well, i definitely will read his other books.

Well characterized and written, just not too exciting honestly.  The klingons didn't do much in this story and felt like an after thought. Some good McCoy and Spock interactions since they're paired for most of the book.

I loved everything about this book, the characters, the world building, the mystery.  But it does take quite a while to pick up, storywise.

I enjoy Ava Reid's prose and that made this an easy read. Other than that the story itself was an alright retelling of Macbeth. A lot about Roscille felt told instead of shown, and all the characters lacked any real depth.  This is another typical "what if this undeniably evil woman from the source material was secretly good and just trying to survive". Meh.
