The princess said no to Griffith and instead of stopping, he groomed her into having sex…
all the red flags are there, Idk how someone could love Griffith after this.

The last scene in the chapter…
I just feel bad for Charlotte, she’s surrounded by people who only take advantage of her.

Finally, some Guts and Casca content

I can’t tell if Casca lost her virginity to Guts or she was bleeding because he was too harsh, either way it was scary.

I got teary when Guts called Gambino “father”….
Okay it’s confirmed, it was Casca’s first time.

Lol my thoughts on this volume are so random; a lot happened.
Overall thoughts, this is an important volume; it shows the depth of the characters and the way their trauma affects them. It warms my heart that the first time Guts ever opened up to someone was with Casca, and I guess it’s the same for Casca too.

This is the volume that changed everything…

I hate Griffith in a way I can’t explain but his character is interesting.
I can’t get over the fact that Guts was considering a relationship with Casca but he kept denying his feelings knowing that she's in love with Griffith ( Griffith doesn’t deserve both of them T-T )

This volume was full of fighting scenes, which is not my favourites part of the story. Maybe the only thing I liked about this volume was the little progress in Casca’s and Guts’s "friendship"

Knowing what’s coming, it’s killing me how much Guts have so much faith in Griffith

Adonis struggling for air and Guts holding his hand is something that'll always get me. This scene was even sadder in the movie, especially because Guts didn’t realize Adonis was a kid before killing him.
It’s interesting that Guts saw himself as Nosferatu Zodd.

It’s so heartwarming to see someone as lonely as Guts getting to make friends

As much as I hate the count there’s one good thing I can say about him and that's how he really loved his daughter; it’s the only thing that kept him human. And about the count, that one panel with the count’s wife was hot as fuck ;)

Vargas was being pulled to hell because he lived his life in hatred, yet it’s still made me sad, I don’t think he was necessarily a bad person.

That panel with Guts crying is one of the most memorable panels from my first two reads, and it still makes me really sad. Knowing what Guts has been through, I think he was crying because Theresia wasn’t the first person to blame him, or maybe he felt bad for her. Who knows?
Theresia might come back in the future to take her revenge, and Guts won’t stop her because that’s her reason to live.

Golden age arc here we go

Seeing Guts terrified expressions felt weird, but I don’t blame him; the count is disgusting as fuck. I rushed through every panel he was in because my gut kept twisting really badly at the sight of him.

It’s interesting that Puck was able to feel Guts’s fear when Vergas was about to be executed, and I loved it when Guts felt bad about making Puck cry.

Puck’s failed attempt to save Vargas was hilarious, he’s the only thing that makes me smile in this manga.

Even after reading this volume two times before, I still forgot how disturbing it is. Guts pretends to be tough but he showed some emotion when he saw Collette holding her father’s head; he quickly shoved these feelings away because selfishness and hatred are what drive him forward.
