I have grown to be extremely fond of this book. It’s a tragic telling of children being put in extreme isolation and having to explore what teenagers and children explore while having nothing but each other and the attic they have been confined to. What is God willing to do for you? Why was my birth a sin and can I ever be righteous in the Lord’s eyes? Their love is tragic but they never signed up for this. I don’t think this book is “disgusting” I think it is deeply sad in a way that makes you sick to your stomach.
