Droga królów by Brandon Sanderson

bright points:
- expertly woven and creative worldbuilding
- interesting character arcs
- well built narrative
my complaints:
- prologue hits you in the face with an infodump right away
- easy to get lost in the many many nations and cultures
- plain writing and awkward metaphors, Shallan's "sassines" made me cringe at times
