Did not finish book. Stopped at 43%.
I had to stop.  I bought this book on the premise it would be as complex as The Secret History. It is not even 1/25th of that complexity.  I did and at 50% I am done

This author can never write a bad book.  I binged this book in one day. I stayed up way past my bedtime to read half of it and then neglected everything else in my life to finish it. I will forever be in awe of how she writes and the quality at which it is done. She follows the perfect schedule of putting out books and every single book she puts out is high quality high written hi volume and I absolutely appreciate about her. This book was just a good a her other ones, if not more so.  I refuse to put spoilers in this review, but my heart was kicked punched and thrown all over the board.

This book wrecked me emotionally.  There was such hope for Josh,  such loss for Lauren,  and in glad he didn't marry Sarah.  This book was well written.  I appreciate the detail given to the medical condition and symptoms. As a nurse it drives me nuts when it's not accurate and this author did a WONDERFUL job of keeping it spot on.

The same scenes over and over.  Insert yawn. I skimmed the book after 38%.
