This book is incredibly short and fast that it can feel like whiplash if you’re not used to super fast-paced books. But once I figured out what was going on, I really enjoyed it. A great, quick fantasy read. Easily would read again.

This book was REALLY fast-paced and overall just felt very basic but with too many plot twists. Don’t get me wrong I love a good plot twist, but this book I felt like they started coming and didn’t stop coming.

I enjoyed that. It was a very quick read, a nice Sunday afternoon kind of book. But there are some aspects of the book that I wish were drawn out just a little bit more. I felt like things jumped around a little too quickly.

I love the concept of the story, I loved the idea that the author was trying to go for, but I wish the author took a little more time to add emotional depth to the book.

I’d recommend this book if you’re looking for a super quick read that doesn’t take a lot of effort to process. If you just want a quick story that wraps up the story (not necessarily in a pretty bow), this might be a good next book for you.

I thought this book was a little slow at first. But, as I kept reading, the pace really began to pick up and get exciting. I LOVED Jedi Fallen Order and really loved being back with The Mantis crew again. I thought this book added great character development and background to everyone and reminded me why I love the characters so much.

I loved that this book explored Merrin’s character. She was my favorite coming out of Fallen Order and having this book to establish her more was fantastic. I loved the tension and romance that was built with her character and hope we see a continuation of her story in Jedi Survivor.  (Still haven’t played yet)

This is a great book if you aren’t ready to play Jedi Survivor but still want to enjoy a story about The Mantis crew. It was a pretty quick read and finished off well. Great introduction to the second game.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 21%.
The main characters were just not lovable and I couldn’t quite get into the story. Maybe it gets better but not what I’m looking for.

I loved how this book got it going from the beginning. It hit the ground running right from the beginning!

I’m such a HUGE fan of Girl of Fire and Thorns and had no idea that Rae Carson released this book! It did take me a bit to remember the universe (because I last read the series in 2015) but fell back into it so easily! The writing flows well and picks up pace super well.

I also love the extra character development that this book gives! I wish we could have more! But yes def recommend this entire series as a whole.
