Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult

“Yes, talking about racism is hard to do, and yes, we stumble over the words—but we who are white need to have this discussion among ourselves.” -from authors notes
I loved this book. From beginning to end, it makes you think about privilege and the racism that exists in America. Though it’s easy to say “I don’t see color”, it’s dangerous because it dismisses the person of color who sees nothing but color. I loved what this author was able to do in the medium of fiction. I definitely recommend it. And I’d love to talk to you about it when you’re finished.
