I had to read this story for a class, so I don't have strong feelings towards the story. However, it was interesting to read, and the topic covered got me thinking. The character's actions and feelings towards the main subject of the short story are the highlights.

The plot of [b:The Killing Game|27168956|The Killing Game|Nancy Bush|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1453057596s/27168956.jpg|47206135] by Nancy Bust is a rather interesting one, that really fits the cover it was given. This suspenseful, thriller will have you turning the pages as the characters in the book rush to figure out who is behind the somewhat recent killings.

Andi Wren, the main protagonist, goes through depression due to the lost of her husband but at the same time, she finds herself the largest shareholder of her late husband's company but with lack of money, ruthless competitors jump in and plan to take monopoly of the Wren's land.

Things start to go downhill, when Andi receives notes telling her "Little birds must fly" and out of fear, she turns to P.I Luke Denton and the both of them agree into a deal, that works in both of their favors.

But Andi's point of view is not the only one told. Near the outskirts of town, two police detectives work on finding the identities of a pile of bones, that were found in an old, deceased couple's home. As they dig deeper to find the truth behind the bones, they end up connecting dots and find themselves working loosely with Luke Denton.

Nancy Bush has done a great job with making two cases, that seem to have nothing in common, become this one big problem that needs to come to an end and be fixed. Suspense is created as the reader questions who the real killer could be and a story, that is well-thought out, is tied together (with no loose ends), by the time the last few pages are read. There is great character development and we are given a interesting story setting, as we read through the pages.

Oh...this book. I really didn't like this book and I really, really tried to like it. After chapter twenty, I just forced myself to read and I struggled to complete it, sure the ending was somewhat unexpected but once I finished reading, I really just didn't care what happen to the characters at all. The written was brilliantly done but some scenes didn't need to be described at such a long length and I ended up skipping most of the sentences. I still got what was happening and felt frustrated with just reading the book. I'm not sure why I brought the book but I wanted to see how the series would end and the ending was unseen. However, most of the events that took place were predictable and the book just reminded me of a movie, that has similar plots with other movies. I was disappointed with the book and really couldn't form a connection with the characters, that by the end of the book, I really couldn't care if they lived or died. Though, I would recommend this book for someone who is starting to get into horror stories but for someone who read a lot of horror book, I wouldn't recommend it.

This book was very straightforward but it was very entertaining. I like the imagery that was used in the book and the words were flowing, that it was an easy read. There wasn't much I dislike about the book and the only thing that I did dislike was the conveying of personalities. But I must say, that "Stuck in the Game" makes you feel as though you are really in the game. The book is basically a written version of a game, which is probably the reason was it's interesting and there are aspects of the book, that gamers would understand.
We follow Noah, a seventeen year old boy, is involved in a car crash and is rushed to the hospital, along with his girlfriend Sue. In order to communicate, Noah is hooked up to Dream Engine and must survive in the game or else he'll slip into a coma. I am glad Future House Publishing gave me the book and allowed me to read it.

Even though it had a slow start, I was very interesting in reading how things would turn out for the characters. However towards the end, I had a somewhat clear path of what the storyline would be taking. The first person point of view was insightful to a minimum but it didn't seem right for the story, as it really didn't give any more details to the reading (besides small moments of love and thoughts). The writing was straightforward and made the book an easy read, that not much thinking was involved on the reader's part but the story plot was intruding enough for me to keep reading until the end.

It was an okay book but it was sort of boring. Mostly everything that was interesting was in the beginning and middle part of the book. When I got towards the end, I lost most of my curiously and ended up skimming though the rest of the book.

I still love the way Yancey writes and will get the third book but this one didn't really feel like the plot was going anywhere and felt like a waste of time.
