Rule has a way with true crime and really went into detail with this book. She explores the story and it's easy to see how it was adapted to film as she really helps put a picture together.
Diane Downs brought her children to the ER with gunshot wounds after claiming they were attacked- Rule follows the police investigation that unravels the unhinged personality of Downs whose obsession with her lover led her to murder her daughter and attempt to murder her other daughter and son.

I found it difficult to read at times as a mother but it was very engaging.

This is a very entertaining audiobook, performed with such joyful energy by Nancy Cartwright herself. You read about her life and how her career began, and a great deal about the production of The Simpsons and what it was like being part of it.
Other areas of Nancy's career are mentioned and by the end you feel like you know her!

This book has some sizzling chemistry between our protagonist, Callie, and The Bargainer. There is good banter, some fluffy scenes and slow some dark snd possessive moments as to be expected when the love interest is part of the fae.
It flashes between present and past, building the relationship between our protagonists but also has an intriguing mystery plot.
