I really enjoyed this, thought it was super cute and would recommend for people who like grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity/workplace romances

At no point in this book did I like Teddy and my jaw literally dropped when he
called her "a broken bitter bitch who's going to die alone" He never cared about the impact that their relationship would have on her personally or professionally as long as he got what he wanted. Frankly, there's no coming back from what he said to her in my opinion but the fact that he didn't even apologize for it is wild.

Being in Logan's head is terrible!
I'm not mad at the ending even though I would have liked to see the aftermath

I'm surprised that I enjoyed this as much as I did. I didn't really care for Mamoru or Tekeru but I love Misaki.
Even though I didn't care for Mamoru, I am sad that know one knows that he was able to master the Whispering Blade.. And Misaki talking to his corpse hit me hard.
As for Tekeru, I'm glad Miskai fought him. I don't think that it would have been that simple for him to make such a drastic change but I liked the ending

Highly recommend for dog lovers!

While I had a fun time with this and love Thad...I didn't like him in the beginning and I think we can all agree why. BUT he does grow on you.

I didn't love
the situation with Kendra and it didn't necessarily feel needed.

I love Mrs. Frances and the way that she extorted her husband though.

I'm hoping maybe a companion novel for Ridley and Von even though I didn't really love Ridley at times.

Thank you to the author for reaching out and asking if I wanted an arc!

This is a tough read and has a large amount of content warnings but it takes a look at the biases that are so present in America and imagines both the harm that those biases have and the improvements that could be made if folks cared enough to unlearn them.
