I had to give it back. I want to come back to it once I find a new copy.

Bulgakov's imagination is unexpected and ingenious. The book was deliciously weird and surreal. Cut out of the cloth of dreams and nightmares. I loved it and I also appreciated the biographical note at the end of the edition. I would definitely recommend it, but I wouldn't really know how to describe it.

I loved the book cover to cover! Nothing to change, nothing I would wish different. It is a heartfelt, beautiful, raw, coming-of-age story of a kind human being. I fell in love with the main character, Bianca, right from the beginning. The first person narrative employed perfectly by the author, the relatable personality of the ageless, rebellious protagonist and all the weirdness that makes perfect sense draw the reader in and have them accompany each one of Bianca's steps in NY. I'd recommend the book, no doubt!

Without doubt the best non classic book I've read in a decade! The storytelling is brilliant and the storyline compelling. The unravelling and présentation of the multilayered characters shows a deep understanding of specific psychological traits and of trauma from the part of the writer.
I would suggest the book to everyone, but more specifically to young women.
Point of attention: it can be trauma triggering for some people.
