This book was so beautifully written and I fell in love with Nino immediately! After binging the entire series I can now with confidence say that he is my favorite Falcone brother and my favorite Camorra man. I felt so much with this book. I felt Kiara's pain, I felt Nino's fear, I just felt. Kiara and Nino were everything that each other needed. I'm so glad that they found each other and that they got their happy ending - they of all people deserve it. I think this was the second book reading about a neurodivergent character and I was in absolute awe of how Cora articulated EVERYTHING. They have a special place in my heart. I'm coming back to this book on a rainy day.

Wow.
This short story had me feeling EVERYTHING. This was so beautiful, so poetic. I am in awe of her writing style - it's so unique and captivating. She evoked so much emotion despite this being a short story.
Runyx clearly has a gift for writing.

I absolutely loved the world that I was transported to whilst reading! I think I enjoyed the whole fantasy aspect a wee bit too much considering I'm what you call a "fantasy infant" as one of my good friends would say (I'm looking at you ). Holly made me smell every scent, taste every culinary dish that these faeries had at their unnecessary feasts and wish that I had gowns as beautiful as Jude. The chapters and length of the book were perfect which made reading it much more enjoyable.
The Cruel Prince was a good introduction to the world of Elfhame with twists and turns I didn't see coming. My anger issues were sky rocketing when it came to some people (Locke, Valerian, Nicasia) - they are literally the spawns of Satan and I had to take a breather multiple times because their excessive bullying reminded me of those we see on Kdramas. I didn't know how I was supposed to like Cardan as the love interest but it changed at the scene when she finds his letter - the annoying prince won me over. The bullying was just so unnecessary and Taryn made my nerve endings vibrate with annoyance. She was so downbad and for what ? She was literally okay with being a side chick like miss girl he is just a guy, - STAND UP!
Nevertheless I pushed through all of that just to get to a cliffhanger at the end lmao.

I've been wanting to read another murder mystery/thriller for a while and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read this book.
Usually with said subject, the investigation carries over months or a few weeks.
I was very impressed that the author went so thoroughly in depth when it came to articulating every detail and the story was in a span of a few days.
The build up was worth it. Those little nuggets had me on the edge of my seat as well.
Every time I think I knew who did it, I was proved wrong.
Malcom and Harper really had the whole "I hate you & you're a piece of shit" thing going on. (Keep in mind there's no romance in this book whatsoever, but hopefully there will be in the future). The whole plot/focal point of the book made up for the lack of no love interests in the FMC's part.
The ending was truly unexpected. My eyebrows hit my hairline multiple times especially during chapter 38.
I loved that the book ended off with a few things left unsaid as well. I think this will cement the foregrounding for the next book.
Overall, it was a disgusting , horrific and gag worthy book.
And I mean this as a compliment lol.
Truly one of the most hard home hitting and impeccable mysteries I've read.
