Bad writing. Plain characters. Predictable plot and overall just so boring to go through. Holy shit, I am mad about the ending. It was so utter shit. I'm glad the kid died, but wtf.

League of Legends. A game so widely known for their toxic community, but also for their wonderful worldbuilding and character creation. Anthony has definitely not disappointed the community with this amazing lore of how the Shadow Ilse has made its way into the League universe.

Kalista's character is from the first page on so likable and I find her the most well written character so far. Her decisions and delivering her views to others felt so natural, especially for me only knowing Kalista as an ingame raging massacre. I think I like Kalista much more than before.

The story is definitely something we, league players, have heard of but not full in detail. If you love lore, and leagues amazing world go and read this amazing book.

I hope there is more to come.

I enjoyed the whole series, and that you can read the books without reading the others like a stand-alone. However, this book was missing something to me. I can't quite catch what, but something that the other books did really well. I guess it left me with some questions still unanswered, what the others all answered.

The story about Finlay and Maggie was great, I loved that we got actual details about them. However, I dont think I agree as much with the ending here. But I'll keep that a secret and won't spoil it.

Daniel Cole, I think you got another fan out of this great series. Please do keep doing whatever you are doing. Your stories are great.

Alright, so I needed some time to think about this book and the review I wanted to give.

First, I still love this world. I love how there are different houses and I finally understand the whole worldbuilding that Sarah did. In the first book; I was definitely lost.

The writing is still pretty great, but simple. It manages to drag you in without using very complicated words, even for an adult series. I guess this is because of her YA books and being in that category most of the time.

The book follows Bryce and her friends some months after the incident with the demons. And I'm glad there are some characters you haven't been introduced yet and a huge part in this book, even if it doesnt really seem like it. This book had a very nice flow when it came to the time between events. It didnt feel too slow, but also not fast paced. However, I didn't enjoy the sex scenes after reading literally 5 of them. I get that Bryce and Hunt are literally Horny dogs, but reading about cocks hardening made me eventually just cringe. And the scenes between Bryce and Hunt aren't the only horny scenes. I started skipping pages, because I was more interested in the plot.
When I got a little bit over half way of the book, I simply couldn't put the book down. The rush I got in every chapter was unreal. Plot twist after plot twist. Eventually I thought I knew who was what, but I was definitely wrong when it was revealed.

Overall, I can't wait for the third book. The second book was made for the spicy readers, but the plot still made me enjoy the book... A lot.

2/3 of the book was just a scary mystery. The last 1/3 was fucked up in every way
