The first part of this book I just was not fond of the main character because she saw everything and everyone as something negative and her walls were soooo tall and thick. Then I realized she was on her journey.  I loved Luke and his niece sooooo very much. I want a Luke in my life. Life is messy and hard and this journey shows much of that bluntly. I did not like how repective certain symbolism was but it was still beautiful ones. This book handled so many topics. I got mad and threw it and then hugged it proud of some parts. Take a chance on the read I am sure there will be diverse ratings on this one. Conversation starter for sure.

my rating: 3.5 (pretty good, I liked it)   my guess for other readers: 4 ( l think they will really like it).
I am not the biggest fan of time loops. I usually am not a huge fan of fluffy romance either but I felt  this was very cute. I did like the way it was written. Had a fun vibe.

my rating scale: 1-ugh, a waste for me 2-meh to okay, average 3-good, enjoyable, would prob recommend 4- great, really liked, got something from was engaged recommended. 5- fantastic, stays on my mind, would keep on my shelf and very much recommend or just really enjoyed it so much at the time.

Fungas and plants that take life off someone's best friend? What a concept! I was loving the eerie disturbing thought of this plant person coming to life, struggling to live and grow. To think of the ways a plant could work with other factors to live like a human. So freaky. I also loved this couple. I love how they lived doing their separate passions but together in love. The project was such a great merging of the two. I wish I loved the time period better because the way it is told in that time period and the way people talked took me way out of the story. It was fitting for what the story was but it just made it hard for me to stay into the story. Also scientic journal enteries made me feel like i was reading textbooks. I wanted more of the relationships and enviroment living in. I felt this was a great unique story as well as, a great retelling of frankenstein. I would recommend it especially to those who love historical fiction.
Thank you to netgalley and publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.
