How to Be a Dog by Jo Williamson
5.0
Extremely funny and sweet, the story is told from the dog's perspective (and I suspect it's very true).
Jo's illustrations are endearing and her limited colour palette is to die for.
It's sure a favourite!

The Watermelon Seed by Greg Pizzoli

A funny and simple story with little (but very effective) text.
You can't help falling in love with this sweet crocodile and it did remind me of my childhood fear of having a plant growing inside my stomach!
The illustrations are ever so lovely, I really like the bold limited palette.
For little and big kids that may or may not like watermelon.

This book is just SO, SO awesome, bunny.
SO.
That's the weirdest, creepiest, most sickly-sweet-girlish thing I ever read and I loved it. I want to marry it and have its book babies.
