Although slow at the beginning, everything unravels so fast at the end you’ll be looking at the pages left saying “how is this cleared up so fast?” A well executed and fun novel of Elfhame

The main character is absolutely unhinged which makes for an entertaining yet embarrassing read. The romance was cute. But it got housewives level of dramatic which took me out of the story.

This book has a mix of historical and modern science fiction. The most interesting commonality is Chiang using scientific and mathematic concepts as allegory for humanities flaws. Let it be known that I am biased as Ted Chiang is a favorite author of mine.
