I am not a very "sportsy" person so I wasn't sure I would like a book based around a hockey career, but I was happily surprised by this read! The author does a great job of balancing the story between sports and romance.

And I loved the lead female's back story and the progress we saw in her character as she heals emotional wounds.

This book has a great amount of heat and chemistry between the leads and enough depth to make it a meaningful story without it becoming too heavy or morose.

This book is a definite winner for me as far as good romances go! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback

This book just was not for me. It was choppy and rushed with no real depth (although it tried to have depth with a sad backstory).

The two main characters had almost no interaction besides sleeping together. As in, he shows up at her hotel room having never really met her, he asks her out on a date, and they proceed to sleep together afterward. We get very minimal dialog between them on this date. I was totally perplexed at how little time these characters spend in each other's company and then suddenly they are in love.

This love story felt very disjointed and rushed. They also referred to each other as "my dude" a few times and had other oddly juvenile mannerisms. As if an aged author thought to themselves "how are the young people talking these days?" and then got it very wrong.

THE TYCOON'S FAKE FIANCE is a fun romance between former lovers who are reunited.

I loved the history between these two characters and their chemistry was good. There were a few holes in this story that the author does not address and that's mildly annoying. I wish the author had taken a bit more time to flesh out this story to make sure it was done properly.

As long as you can let go to the few minor story issues, this is a sweet story that is an enjoyable read.

HIS SMALL TOWN GIRL is a wonderful story of healing and love. Molly is running from a dangerous ex and Noah has reluctantly returned to his hometown after leaving following a horrible accident. These two have a lot of emotional baggage to sort through and their love story is a sweet tale of second chances.

This book was heavy on story and pretty light on romance. I wish the author had given us a more drawn out happy ending after such a heavy story. It felt like 95% of this book was trauma and sadness. It could have used some more moments of levity to balance out the story. It could have been a 5 star book if that balance had been struck.

FINDING MR. RIGHT NEXT DOOR turned out to be the perfect blend of sweet, funny, and steamy! It was such a good read and included a lot of my favorite things: strong families, great friendships, and undeniable chemistry.

The author does an excellent job of writing characters who are flawed, but insanely likable. And the chemistry between Lexi and Matt was off the charts.

I will definitely be reading more from this author. The writing was excellent.

COFFEE GIRL was such a fun peek into the perks and pitfalls of life within the music industry. Kiki is a fashion stylist who is looking for a job and her brother just happens to have an in with a touring country music artist, Tatum. Kiki and Tatum are completely adorable and hilarious! Their moments together are absolutely laugh out loud funny and their banter back and forth is perfect. I love a romance that has playfulness and passion!

One thing I particularly liked about this story was that the conflicts and "bad guys" were nuanced and complex. So often, book characters are painted as all bad and all good. But you can see both sides of each character and each conflict that arises. The author give enough care to tell a story where you can see that sometimes there is no easy answer. This is a double-edged sword because a lot of the central characters are TOO unlikeable.

If you're in the mood for swoony romance, great friendships, and lots of hilariously awkward moments that will make you laugh then I highly recommend this book!

I generally like Leslie North books, but this one didn't do it for me. The entire story felt oddly surface, never quote getting to the emotions the story was trying to.

Carolyn broke off her engagement to Zach 2 years ago when she suddenly decides his job in the military is too hard for her to live with. We never learn what the impetus is for this sudden decision on her part.

When Zach reenters her life these two never have a deep discussion about that break up. They hardly discuss much at all. They just seem to transition into a totally normal domestic situation and suddenly everything is okay with just a minor apology. There is not even a discussion about how she feels about his current job which still puts him in danger on a regular basis.

The premise of this book was promising, but there was just no depth or real emotion in my opinion.

I'm not one for prequels, but OH, my heart! This is just perfection!

Phoebe and John and their story is just sublime. I loved every page of this book.

Don't pass on this read just because it's a prequel.

One Little Kiss is a sweet story with lots of heat. This is fun if you're looking for a flirty beach read. Not too much depth, but a quick read.

The chemistry between the main characters felt very rushed at the beginning, but hot much better as the book progressed.

I really liked this book until the last few chapters. The female lead is strong, sassy, and awesome until the end when she accepts a man who ghosted her for 3 weeks without so much as am "I'm sorry" afterward. Oh, he wants me back? Jump into his arms!!! No apology needed.

That part was very disappointing after coming to adore this female as a badass who stood up to even the scariest of men.
