JUST ONE OF THE GROOMSMEN was a super sweet and super steamy romance between Addie and one of her lifelong guy friends, Tucker. Addie is a true tomboy, rejecting dresses, heels, and make-up. Although, the amount of flack she gets from her family, her small town, and her friends is not really realistic.
The friendship she had with her circle of guy friends was a high point of the book. I loved their banter and support.
And talk about hot sex scenes! When Addie and Tucker finally take the plunge on taking their relationship from friendship to romance your panties will likely melt off your body. I am here for this level of hotness!
I also really like that Tucker quit his job as a lawyer and then isn't truly sure where he's heading next. So often in books the person quits their stuffy job for their clearly defined lifelong passion. But so often it's not that simple in real life. Kudos to this author for exploring the unclear future with Tucker!
Am I going to go read the next book in this series? Hell yes, I am.

I finished this book with a happy sigh.
I love Jami Albright's strong female characters and Tiger is a new favorite. She is a heroine who is smart, brave, funny, sweet, giving, and kind, but not a pushover. I love how this former beauty queen took control of her life to become a construction project manager.
Cash is a wonderfully flawed male lead with a huge heart and a propensity to make an ass out of himself when it comes to Tiger. Which is too adorable to be mad at.
These two have off-the-charts chemistry and I loved the slow burn in this story. Jami Albright sets a great pace where the burn is slow, but you get enough hot looks, almost kisses, and sexy banter to keep you engaged and wanting more. You get the emotional connection between them in layers and see them growing the relationship before sex is introduced and I love that.
Don't worry, it's not ALL meaningful conversations and mutual respect. When these two seal the deal it is hotter than hot. Smut lovers rejoice!

4 1/2 STARS! I just finished this book with a happy sigh. Oh, my heart needed this!
Mae is at her family's vacation cabin for their annual Christmas trip with close friends and family. After a alcohol/fueled make-out with her childhood bestie she is left with how to best navigate her own life, from her unsatisfying career to her non-existent love life, to her decades long unrequited crush, to her cringe-worthy drunken kiss. But then life hives her a chance (or many chances) to find happiness.
This is one of those books that can be a bit all over the place at the start and you're not sure if you can stick it out (this is my sole reason for subtracting a half a star from my rating). Trust me: STICK IT OUT. After you get towards the middle it will all start coming together and, by the end, you will be completely in love with this book.
This story is both sweet and steamy. Meaningful and funny. Quirky and unforgettable. The minute you finish you'll think to yourself, "I should start over and read it all again".

This romance was a breath of fresh air since it was the FEMALE lead who is emotionally stunted as she tries to find a way to allow herself to fall in love. FINALLY. This is not your typical Enemies-to-Lovers romance since the Enemies portion consists of a few phone calls that we only get a summary of from the lead characters at the beginning of the book. SO, if you like a lot of sparks flying and hate-banter, this book won't give you that level of animosity. I would say this is more like "bad first impressions that are quickly rectified".
Avery is a Lawyer who was raised by very emotionally distant parents. She is great at using her brains in work, but not so good at tapping into her emotional side. But her grumpy landlord needs her help to keep custody of his late Brother's son. These two have great chemistry and sparks and I loved the patience that Griffin extends to her as she works out her past issues with emotional intimacy. He is epically sweet and swoony.
Griffin's nephew is a classically unrealistic Romance novel kid. He's no trouble, keeps to himself, never talks back, loves everyone, etc. It's my number one pet peeve to read kids like that in every single-parent romance. It doesn't ruin the sweetness of this book at all. It's a minor issue.
Griffin and Avery really work through their relationship problems and I loved that aspect of this book. It's not an easy road to HEA, but they get there (with some super hot steamy scenes along the way) and it's so satisfying.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

2nd chance at love!
I seem to gravitate towards stories of falling in love for the first time. The attraction. The flirting. The anticipation of the first kiss. But this second chance romance between Dominic and Rosie stole my heart in its own way.
The writing is exceptional as we follow thus married couple through a separation and couple's therapy. There is a lot mentioned about the Love Languages and I really liked the therapy aspect of this book.
These two are so wonderfully flawed in such a relatable way. And, holy smokes, are the steamy scenes in this book filthy....in the best way. If you aren't comfortable with intimate scenes in books you had better steer clear of this one. The content is very adult. If it were a film it would be rated NC-17 for sure.
I really liked this edgier and extremely emotional book from Tessa Bailey. It's not a light and fluffy beach read romance, but if you want to sink your teeth into a journey of first love, second chances, and the ups and downs of marriage then I highly recommend this book!

Is it hot in here or is it just the steam from this book? This was definitely a NC-17 kind of book and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT. Filthy talk, filthy baseball dugout sex, filthy everything. Hell yes.
But also a sweet story with a absolutely perfect heroine and a hot alpha male. I loved Georgie's blend of girlishness and cutting wit. She was hilarious and sassy and so relatable! Her character hets stronger and stronger ON HER OWN as this story progresses. Her female friends and her relationship with the hero assist in this transformation, but it's mostly her and I love that!
Travis was so broken and uncertain at the beginning of this book and we see him transform as well, with the help of the heroine. Hello woman power!
This was a great read that was crazy hot, simply sweet, and totally enjoyable.

Lucy Score is EVERYTHING! I recently decided I needed to backtrack and make sure I've read every word she has ever written and THIS is the life goal I needed.
Paige is such a badass. She is smart, funny, feisty, and hard working. She is kicking ass in a male-dominated workplace. I freaking love that she is the one who is hesitant about a relationship because of her career drive and focus.
Gannon is pure SWOON. I adore his inability to not get grumpy when he gets frustrated. I love his love if family and his incredible ability support Paige rather than take over.
It's important to note that while I read this in late 2020 it was published in the Summer of 2017. For context, the #MeToo movement really burst onto the scene in October 2017 (although it existed before then). This is worth mentioning because Lucy Score NAILED IT in this book when addressing wage gap and women being undermined, undervalued, and unseen in the workplace. This book hits the perfect balance of smartly addressing the issue without feeling forced or soapboxy (NOT a word).
Case in point are the unbelievably hot, panty incinerating, steamy scenes in this book. It is truly SMUTacular.
If you haven't already, READ THIS BOOK.

I am having trouble words-ing right now because this book was AMAZING and the hot hate sex has destroyed my panties.
This is my first read by this author and the moment I finished the final page I immediately started a stalking campaign where I follow her everywhere (Online, people. I'm not THAT creepy) and make plans to read every word she has written. THAT'S how much I loved this book.
A VERY BOSSY CHRISTMAS pretty much ticks every box there is. Enemies-To-Lovers, Holiday Romance, Workplace Romance, and Fake Relationship tropes are covered. But there is also grumpy boss turned secretly sweet man, funny texting, embarrassing naked dancing, hilarious family relationships, bad karaoke, holiday meal fat pants, hilarious hate banter, drunken disorderliness, a crazy bachelor party, I could go on and on.
Maddie is the ultimate female lead. She is smart, badass, funny, and handles her grumpy boss like a pro. She is also kind and caring and loves her insane family. And Declan...sheesh...I can't even. He's up there in my Book Boyfriend Top 5. He's smart, demanding, grumpy as hell, hot, generous, and secretly the sweetest. These two have chemistry for days and this book has one of the hottest steamy scenes of all time. It will be burned into my memory for the rest of my days and I will be perving out to it as an old lady, I'm sure.
This book had me snort-laughing over and over again. It's so funny!!! This is one of my favorite books of 2020! Now, go read this while I download every book Kayley Loring has ever written.

What. Is. With. G-Rated. Holiday. Romances?
Guys, SMUT is a gift that keeps on giving. Nothing honors the spirit of the season like hot kitchen counter sex. Sadly, just kissing here.
Now, in case you think I'm a total jerk I had more issues with this book than its purity. It has a "twist" that is popping up way too much in Romances (and one that was the twist in the most famous Enemies-To-Lovers romance of recent years). Then, an ending very much borrowed from a famous Rom-Com film. Both of these plot lines could be spotted from a mile away.
There also was a lack of the "enemies" portion of this Enemies-To-Lovers. Our heroine has no bite and no backbone. Our hero is not too much of a jerk until well into the book when he gets drunk and then says some grossly sexual comments about the heroine in PUBLIC, with family members in hearing distance. The next morning our heroine shrugs this off as no big deal since he was drunk. I am NOT here for that.
During the course of their fake relationship we also see what a skilled liar the hero is. I just...felt weird about it. This book just fell really flat for me.

If you are ready to take a bullet train to Bonetown then this novella is for you!
Insta-love is a hallmark of novellas and JINGLE LADY is no exception. I honestly could have used an additional scene or two before that train ride, but I like a slow burn so novellas always feel rushed to me.
This book is sweet and steamy and filled with holiday cheer. I had to do a major eye roll when the heroine started crying actual tears of joy when the hero brought her a Hawaiian pizza...I mean...
