I really liked the first book in this series so I was excited to read CHARMER. If you like a book where the hero PUTS IN THE WORK to woo the heroine then you will love this book! Nico goes from unattached playboy to patiently charming single mom, Kat, until she is ready to risk her heart. Along the way there are about a gazillion swoony-worthy moments between Kat and Nico. Can I have a sexy Rockstar sing to me while dancing me around a parking lot...please?

Kat is a single mom and I was so happy to see her son portrayed as a regular 5 year old! He is adorable, precocious, and happy. But he also has tantrums, hard days, and picky eating moments. I loved that!

And this book has STEAM FOR DAYS! Panty-Combusting goodness, people. I loved the chemistry between these two characters and they have a freaking hot, but also hilarious, make-out in the parking lot of her work that was perfection.

If you haven't read this series yet you definitely should! It's funny, swoony, and sexy.

I love a Small Town Romance and this book had all the best parts of the trope. Nosy neighbors, funny characters, small town history, and plenty of charm.

Harper is a Romance Writer who goes to house sit for her great aunt (in a very small town) so she can finish her latest books by the publisher's deadline. She runs into grumpy farmer, Stone, and the sparks fly! These two have great snarky banter and sizzling chemistry!

There were a lot of set ups in this book that seemed like they were going to lead to some great plot twists, but in the end they fell flat. The entire story revolves around long-buried small town secrets being unearthed and then nothing really dramatic is revealed. It felt really disappointing.

This is one of those romances when you are constantly mind-screaming at the characters "Just TALK to each other!!!" The level of basic miscommunication is frustrating, although that is a conflict I very much hate. Others might not mind it.

Overall this was a good read and I *might* continue reading the series, but it wasn't a WOW for me.

This book was just okay for me. I loved the Older Woman-Younger Man trope and I loved the glimpse into a different culture and the dynamics and expectations that come along with that.

However, this book felt very disjointed.

These two characters have almost no interactions BESIDES hot sex hook-ups. And then, suddenly, they are in love. I just wish there had been more time spent together without sex to create the relationship and love dynamic.

Also, pretty much everyone in this book (besides the lead female character) is a total a$$hole. Yes, even the male lead is kind of a dick. These two "fall in love" without knowing anything about each other including the female lead (who works in speech therapy) having NO IDEA the man she is having sex with then dating then falling in love with has a stutter. He literally stutters multiple times in front of her and she has no idea....? It all felt so improbable.

These characters had mad-hot sexual chemistry, but nothing else. In the end, this book just didn't work for me.

I read the second book in this series (The Wedding Date) before reading this one and I liked both! Although I think THE PROPOSAL edges out as my favorite of the two.

Nik is a hilarious and relatable and smart!!! I loved that she knows what she wants and makes it happen. Girl Boss FOR DAYS. And her relationship with her girlfriends is an amazing part of this book! It's especially good because these friends are super supportive, but also have a Come-To-Jesus talk with Nik when she needs it most.

And Carlos! *SWOON!* From the very first chapter you will be in love with him and then you fall more and more in love as the book goes on. His love for his family, his amazing cooking skills, his smarts and dedication to his job working with teens. He is just Book Boyfriend perfection!

And these two are H-O-T! Pack some spare panties because this book will flood your basement...if ya know what I mean.

And I am always here for a female that is the one who is shy of commitment. The relationship conflicts between these two feels genuine and relatable. By the end of this story you will be BEGGING these two to get their sh*t together and get their happily ever after! This was a great book by an author whose writing I consistently like!

Prepare yourself for a Slow Burn that will have you foaming at the mouth for these two to seal the deal! Author Sara Desai writes this story so well that you are just swept away with Daisy and Liam and their love story!

Daisy is amazing! Crazy-smart, an overachiever, a quirky nerd girl, and a lover of order and spreadsheets. I loved her so much. You guys...she wears AVENGERS bra and panty sets and I am so here for this level of fandom awesomeness.

Liam is so tortured and bad-boy, but turns out to be so sweet and quietly brave that your heart will explode.

This book feels like a light-enough read, but still tackles some pretty heavy topics. But the amount of teasing and laugh-out-loud moments balance the more serious topics really well.

And please file this on your spreadsheet under FURNITURE-BREAKING SEX. Holy hell, is this book ever hot!

I really wanted to love this book! A 30-something, plus size, bisexual, female lead sounded AMAZING. But the writing style and pacing was so frenetic that I felt like I couldn't connect with the story.

We get a vast amount of info about Noni's sexual history in the first few chapters and then some very awkward sexual encounters that don't lend anything to moving the plot forward. I felt like I was wading through every day of Noni's life crises, waiting for the story to begin.

I finally gave up.

BACK IN THE BURBS is a super funny and cute Enemies To Lovers romance!

Mallory is such a great female lead! She is quirky, hilarious, hard working, and trying desperately to "find herself" in her 30s after a 10-year marriage in which she gave up everything for her spouse and his needs. I loved the character growth we see in Mallory as she starts to stand up for herself with her controlling parents, her ex husband, and her grumpy neighbor.

And Nick is such a swoony grump! You will fall in love with him as his rigid rule-keeping snark begins to thaw and we see the great guy he is.

This book feels like a fairly light read, even as it covers some heavier topics like mental illness and love after loss. And there are so many laugh-out-loud moments that you never feel like this book is overly sad.

This is a slow burn that totally pays off with the epic steamy scenes! These two are Melt-Yo-Kindle Hot!

This book was a great read with lots of humor, some serious moments, lots of steam, and a perfectly sweet HEA.
