As someone who has been a “fangirl” for a long time and have been in various fandoms throughout the years I was super excited for this book. I spent many countless nights on Tumblr rping as characters, chatting with other fans, and reading fanfics. This book at first was a nice memory of that. It was super cringey, but in a good way. However, as the book progressed I began to hate it more and more. The way Liv acted felt like she was in middle school when in reality she was in college, Xander was sweet and gimicky in the beginning but got sooo creepy as time went on, and the side characters deserved more love. When they got to Dragon Con I was hopeful it would get better as I love cons. It brought some FOMO as my next con is in July, but the way everyone acted was absolutely horrible and the ending felt forced and unnecessary. I finished it, but was disappointed.

The first half I loved! The treehouse and the forest life was wonderful. I’d love to spend time tinkering away in a laboratory far away from the city. The second half was eh. Did not care for some of the characters they run into later on and the ending felt really forced and dragged on too long. The characters were fine, I loved Rambo the most, but everyone else I wasn’t super into. I was expecting so much more as I loved Under and House and this just felt eh.
