4.5/5- I LOVED IT!! I only read the vague synopsis and didn’t do any further research before listening to this one and I’m absolutely pleased with how it turned out. I would rate it 5/5, however i love when loose ends are tied up and i feel like not all of them were in a way. Well, i know they “were” in the grand scheme of things but i like to read the outcome haha. But in a lot of ways this book was heavy, it brought on a lot of emotions throughout and it kept me in a state of wonder. I say wonder because a lot of times the story will take you on the brink of knowing whats going on and then switch to someone else’s story. So, obviously, i grew hungry to know what was happening. To a very good “page turner”, (i read via audio) thank you.
Had to wait on this one a couple times because I got lazy but the only issue with the book was the very juvenile “love story” writing. I know the books not YA but for the scenes with V and X it definitely felt that way. Also wanted more of a description on why they were at war in the first place, hopefully that’ll come in the next book.
