I enjoyed listening to this book but Eva really ruined it for me, her voice was very hard to get used to. I suggest definitely reading this one if you have the time. Im enjoying this book but some part of me wants more. I definitely felt more attached to the characters but not in the traditional way you do when the story telling isn’t through interviews. I may just not be a big fan of the style. The story and plot are very interesting and I’m enjoying all the twists they give.

3.5/5 I really enjoyed this book and will be finishing the series! Im not used to the strictly interview/personal journals type of book but i enjoyed how it played out. I listened to the audiobook but i think i would’ve liked it more with just reading. It is one of my first dives into syfy fiction and i thought the idea was really cool, gave me of iron giant vibes~ the characters, while not that in depth, are mostly enjoyable.

Edited review due to the 2nd book being a 4 star in my eyes.

Y’all i ADORED this book. Romance comedy always lifts my mood. It was the perfect sappy romance that i have been looking for. It was really nice to read a romance from the male perspective and i love how it’s extremely “jocky” dudes that are a part of it. Im really excited to read the rest of the series. I love how it expressed that marriage isn’t always peachy, that it needs work put in through both partners.

My issues were small with the book, mainly it was liv. I couldn’t connect with her whatsoever. Of course she didn’t know the whole picture basically the whole book but man i wanted to knock some sense into her haha

“Things will always change. People grow up, move away, or even pass on, but I now knew it didn’t mean they’d left me alone.”

I loved Root Magic! Set in the 1960s And so full of history and i am so glad i gained knowledge of the Gullah culture.

It was unlike any book I’ve read before, i love spooks it gave me. I fell so in love with the whole turner family and cared about everything they went through. Jez and Jay are such strong and powerful 11 year olds with everything they face in this book. I am saddened to see the way the family was treated by officer collins but i do think justice was well served. This may have been geared towards a younger audience but i loved every bit of it anyway.

Wow, just wow. What a rollercoaster honestly. I loved this book so so much. I was hooked from page 1, the plot was so intriguing. The twist was absolutely something i didn’t guess. I was trying my very best to figure it out before it happened but i found myself flabbergasted.

Quincy was an interesting character, not particularly my favorite. I found her to be very hard to relate to. Honey, if you shove something away, its not going to get erased completely. When Sam was bringing out her fiery side, i liked her more. But even with sam, a couple incidents happened the book i didn’t quite understand tbh. They were in the city park and just... idk. It was hard to grasp what the point of the scene was.

There are some characters i cant really speak on for spoiler sake but my heart hurt for them. If you’re done the book, you may know who i mean.

Such a good follow up to The Bromance Bookclub! This story follows Liv and Mac while still carrying over all of our other favorites and even introducing new ones! Like Rose, she was so sweet. I enjoyed this read and i really think Liv totally redeemed herself for me. I loved them teaming up to stop a predator and feeling like the love was strong from the beginning!

Home Before Dark was such a good spooky read. I loved the horror aspects and how I truly felt scared when reading at night. I loved the fact that Maggie was so brave and constantly pushed on needing information, i feel like that would be me... but im not sure if id stay alone in a notorious “haunted” house haha. In the end i did come up a little short, while i didn’t expect the ending, i was hoping for something a little more ~spooky~

The anticipation, thrills, and fear in Lock Every Door book were so real. I loved about 230 pages of it, the rest really let me down. I know thats an unpopular opinion so I’ll explain more.

Lets start with Jules, she was smart, focused on doing what was best for her, and a very likable character. Then, without warning, she did the most idiotic things. Im not sure why the sudden flip in character but i did not like it at all. I dont want to let on of any spoilers so just ask me and ill discuss what i mean!
Well she was really the only character you really got close to. I did like Ingrid though. There were a few points in the book that i thought were rather pointless to the plot.

The plot was predictable, which i kinda like that i guessed it, but was annoyed that i did so early on.

There also was a burning question throughout the entire book, only for it to get unanswered in the end? Gotta love that.

I loved this one from the series the most! The love was so sweet and nerdy, the perfect read. I loved how genuine their love was and the fact that they started out as best friends and built it from there. The father/daughter situation and Noahs situation both helped to make this story feel real and more emotional. And of course its hilarious that Mac is planning the wedding haha.

Oh and i cant wait for the Russians story!!!

Uhhh lets say 3.75/5

I like this Sager a bit more than lock every door but it wasn’t enough for me. I felt like there could’ve been so much more to the plot and it wasn’t there. The last twist was really good. But sager has a habit of leaving conclusions to the last page and it proves really anticlimactic in most of his books. I am very glad there was no sleeping with the “bad guy” in this book haha
