The title story in this one is a little over 100 pages and then there are some short stories at the end. They were all dark romances and really enjoyable to read. 
Julia Roseingrave was a good gothic tale which opened with the devil coming to stay. I enjoyed that it was unclear who the villain really was and the women had as much agency as the wealthy man.
Bowen's writing in several of the stories, particularly the period pieces, has quite a du Maurier feel to it. I'll definitely be looking for more by her.
