A great book. It's both funny and suspenseful and it really has a TOS feel to it unlike some of the other books.

It reads like a mystery & thriller and is easily one of the best novels I've read in the series.

I think it was a very good work of science fiction, and a great companion piece to the movie. However there are some erotic scenes that come off as cringe, unnecessary, and out of place. Overall though I think it adds context the movie was lacking.
