This book is so simple, and I mean that in the best way. Anyone can read this and follow along, and it doesn't feel like the reader is made to feel stupid or like they're being talked down to for not understanding. This book really is for anyone and everyone regardless of their pronouns.

I had a great time reading this one! Every character felt very authentic and the chemistry between Delilah and Claire was off the charts. Can't wait to read the next two in the series when I get a chance. Only reason it isn't rated higher is that I can't see myself re-reading this one again in the near future.

So Grady has to to have something against IKEA right? Maybe we should just Orsk him??

All jokes aside this was one of the most relatable books I’ve read about working in a chain store. I’ve been in retail for years and the characters included in this one are so true to real life. I’ve known managers like Basil who care too much, and undervalued longtime workers like Ruth Anne, but the majority of people in retail are really like Trinity, Matt or Amy. I don’t usually read books that have a lot of gore (and this one didn’t have a lot but fair warning for those with sensitive stomachs) but it was used well for these characters and plot.

I want there to be a follow-up to this story. I would love a Fear Street adaptation of this one where we see more of the stores that have been in this spot before Orsk and Baby Planet but in the meantime I recommend this short novel to anyone who loves a good ghost story.
