I don't know made me want to suddenly pick this up and reread it, but it was fun. I was scrolling through my audible library trying to pick what to listen to next and I when I saw this series I didn't remember much from my first read other than what I have read in the webcomic... anyways I decided to reread it and oh my god this book is so much fun! I forgot how much and love these characters and this story! It honestly makes me want to go back and reread the first one... I guess I did this a little out of order but oh well I still had fun!
3? 3.5? 4? I really don’t know what to rate this….overall it was a fun fast read. I liked the main characters a lot but wish there was more of an overall plot… Will I continue on to the second book…. Probably because I already own it, but we’ll see.
DNF at 47%.
I could have pushed myself to finish it, but I really wasn't really feeling this book. I probably would have ended up giving two or two and a half stars.
A couple things I liked -
The world is interesting.
The supernatural aspects or creatures were fun.
The writing style is very easy to read and overall I like the way Beck Michaels writes
and well the cover is beautiful.
Why I didn't want to finish the book-
The main character bugged me so much. Its like she doesn't think for herself and just lets people walk all over her. I overall found her character to be boring. If we were reading from her POV, which is a good majority of the book, I was so bored and just wanted to finish the chapter as quick as possible.
I could feel a reading slump coming up. Every time I sat down to read I wasn't enjoying myself and pushing myself through a book I am not enjoying if a easy way for me not to pick up another book for a few months.

During my 4th reread I have some thoughts....
I still adore Thomas Cresswell with all my heart, but that said he is such a jerk to everyone in this first book. Its so different for how he acts in the fourth book that I forgot that he was like this.
I adore Audrey-rose as well but I did come across some points in the book were I said to myself "really Audrey-rose" just sometimes I want to smack her. That said I love her and would die for her.
This is my favorite series and I can't wait to continue on. Hunting Prince Dracula has been my favorite in the series, but I am wondering if that's gonna change on this reread. I really enjoy the vibe if this book and that it is set in London, but onto Dracula we go!

Closer 3.5 Stars
I heard every body raving about this book on Instagram and it convinced me to pick it up right away. Know if I had not heard every raving about this book I honestly might have liked it more. I think I went in with to high standards.
Now this book wasn't bad. I just thought it was okay. It overall was fun and fast to read. If you want a book that you can finish in one sitting this might be a good option. The characters and plot are overall enjoyable and fun. I feel like I was missing that " OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS" feeling that so many other people said they had with this book. Overall me it just seemed like another fake dating romance. nothing to special about it. BUT I do love the fake dating trope!

Ummmm hello I am obsessed!
This book was everything! Its been so long since I have read a 5 star contemporary or romance I think its been since beginning 2021. I decided to start this book while sitting in the airport waiting for my flight and went in knowing nothing other than people were obsessed with it and that people liked to related it to Kylo and Rey from Star wars ( which I didn't see any connection to other than the guy being named Adam and the cover kind of looking like them) but honestly I am glad that I didn't get a Kylo Ren vibe because well.... I hate how whinny Kylo Ren is and Adam is definitely not whinny.
