A beautiful story with beautifully written words.

Cute friends to lovers... but a bit cliché . I did read it in basically one sitting so it was fun and very easy to read.

I was able to receive an ARC

This book had me falling asleep at 9pm... I usually don't fall asleep till 1am so if you want to put yourself to sleep read this book.

I was excited to read this book because it seemed right up my alley. 1800's in England with an marriage of convenience sounded like something that I would really enjoy, but this was book was not for me. The book was incredibly boring with little to no connection between the love interesting. The two main characters start off getting married without knowing anything about each other, and spend 90% of the book apart from each other and have no swoon worthy moments. It was like a switch one moment they hated each other and the next they were madly in love.

Their seemed to be some underlining sexism in this book by degrading a lot of the women in this book by calling them names or claiming they are stupid.
A lot of the female characters also seemed to be very similar and have the damsel in destress kind of plot were they were always expecting someone to save them.

This book also just had no interesting plot I found myself bored throughout 99% of it. I thought about not finishing it, but pulled through, so I would be able to write this review.

3.5 Stars.

I revived a copy from NetGalley.

Overall this books was very cute. If you area fan of friends to lovers I am sure you would love this book, Friends to lovers is not one of my favorite tropes, which is just my own preference, so that's why this book isn't a 4 star for me.

Other than that, the two main characters are adorable and you cant help but to ship together. This is also a work place romance and it is done SO WELL! I adore Matt he is just so adorable and funny and he is a character I could see Bookstagram and Booktok being obsessed with. This book is a little slow in the beginning, but after about 5 chapters it is really easy to fly through this book.
