Wanderlust. Coddiwompling. Beautiful.

This book was a beautiful read! It was heartbreaking, and has some difficult pieces to read, but overall Hudson intertwined two timelines really well and created this lovely book about grief, love, limits, and choices.

I loved that this told a story of the war from a female pilot's viewpoint, it was a great change to other WWII historical fiction I have read, and Juliet was such an amazing, strong character.

This book has a similar feel to Kristin Harmel's The Book of Lost Names, except that one, the war is first, romance second, and romance is first, with the war more as a secondary story in this one.

I highly recommend this read! This was a new-to-me author, and I'll definitely be looking into some of her other books.

Creepy. Supernatural. Thrilling.

This was a great psychological thriller! If you liked Home Before Dark, I would recommend this one for sure!

It was a supernatural/otherworldly kind of suspense, with potential "other beings" causing chaos.

This was medium-paced, with constant chilling events, little character development and two storylines intertwining to create a great thriller! I definitely recommend!

This was was more creepy than McMahon's The Winter People, but her writing style is just great. I'm usually not into supernatural beings and such, but I've enjoyed both of them so far!

This was a good read! I pretty much only knew that Elton John was a musician who dressed fairly eccentrically.

But the book was written very openly, he discussed shortcomings, failures, successes, difficult times, loss, and wins. It was a pretty vulnerable read and it seemed almost nothing was off the table or not discussed.

If you're looking for a memoir, I would recommend!

Slow. Building. Choices.

The plot was good, it had a few pieces all intertwined that came to a head at the end. It was a slow-burn kind of mystery with a lot of character development that led up to the mystery at the end.

The story itself has potential and I can see why people enjoyed it, I think it just didn't click for me.

I found it similar to When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole, where it's very slow with a lot of character development, and then the whole story takes place in the last ten pages. If you like slower mysteries then I would recommend Fisher's. (The Guest List by Lucey Foley is another slow mystery I recommend!)

I struggled to connect with any character in the story. None of them seemed genuine or real to me, so it was hard to stay captivated. It was short (302 pages) so I stuck it out, but I did find myself zoning out and having to re-focus quite a few times.

I think I would've really enjoyed it had I connected to even one character. So I wouldn't not recommend it, but not a favourite!

Suspenseful. Gripping. Shocking.

This was a great read! If you're looking for a quick thriller with a psychological twist in a smaller town - this is it!

This felt similar to Verity by Colleen Hoover, but with less time spent in the bedroom

Decisions. Life. Beautiful.

This was a beautiful historical romance with the grandmother and grandaughter's story paralleled wonderfully.

This book made me smile and cry along with the character's journey. It was absolutely heartbreaking, but also wonderfully reflective of life, making it such a beautiful read.

This book goes over the decisions the characters made, both during WWII and in current day, and how it formed who they were and how they saw the world. The ending and just coming to peace with your decisions, however difficult, and being able to smile at the end of it all, made the entire book come together, the reader smiling.

I love Harmel's writing, which is why I picked this one up, and in no way did it disappoint. If I had gone in expecting it to be historical fiction I may have been let down, but it was a romance that covered some aspects of the war, and I liked that change.

This was similar to The Last Letter from Juliet, so if you've read that or this, I would recommend the other!
