I felt this book had both pacing issues and some plot holes. However, it was so imaginative. I did learn a lot while reading this story and I always like that.

If you liked Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, this is the one for you. All the side rants about the aliens are not side rants, they are the book. It is an odd one but entertaining. And a hell of an audiobook.

A quick note on the audio : I love audiobooks and am pretty open to the style of narration, but this one nearly drove me crazy. The cadence of the narrator was off putting. Halfway through the book when we had other "voices" it became more tolerable.
