A simple, cozy book that’s all about the bookstore vibes/rediscovering yourself at a local bookstore and coffee shop. Perfect for anyone who needs a quick and easy read in between heavier books.

I loved the first book a lot more than this one, but I really did enjoy this duology as a whole. I wish there was something MORE in this one, but still a really enjoyable pair of books.

This was my first Alice Feeney book, and I really liked the writing style, so I’ll definitely be checking out her previous books. I really enjoyed the idea of the island and a writer moving there for isolation and writing time, but it did lose me a little bit towards the end. I think some things could have been explained better, but other than this was a solid book.

I liked some stories more than others, or else this collection would be 4 stars! I appreciate the writing though, I just would loveeeeeee a debut novel from this author. I’d totally read that.

I loved the mix of contemporary/family drama/mystery weaved into one. This book had a lot of twists, with the questions of family and morals at its core. This was a really great story!

This book was so fun and just what I needed. Sure, the main character isn’t the perfect character who has her faults, but the drama was SERVED in this book, my jaw dropped, and I just really enjoyed this as a whole!

I really wanted to love this, but it just fell flat for me. I think it was disjointed in parts, and this could’ve been a debut that knocked it out of the park. I appreciate the themes and issues that the author brings up, of course, but I think the writing just wasn’t there.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 7%.
I’m just not into this kind of basic white girl storyline anymore. I should not have given into the hype ugh.
