This book was truly beautiful. I was not expecting to love Walter, or Herr Schmidt, as much as I did. Bronsky did a phenomenal job at writing his character- he had potential to be horrendous but was wonderfully endearing. I loved the premise of this story and seeing Walter grow as a person throughout it. His growing fascination in cooking brought me so much joy. And the ending, oh man. I cried like a baby. I don'  want to say too much about the ending but it was beautiful, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and full of possibilities. As the audience we know what's going to happen to Barbara but we dont know what's going to happen to Walter and that space for possibilities is really beautiful and makes the ending feel real. I'm definitely going to be reading more of Bronsky's work.

This book was a lovely ode to our favorite classic romcoms. I thought the FMC was written very well. She had the potential to be annoying but was written with a perfect balance of relatability, nativity, and sincerity that she was charming. I found myself unable to put this book down as it flowed so naturally keeping me hooked. This story was a quintessential romcom that brings all the standard feel good moments with it.

This book is a beautiful love letter to both romance novels and romance readers. The FMC is both charming and relatable and the plot is something every romance reader has wished for themselves at least once. I truly enjoyed the growth of her character and recieved the warmth of a true feel-good story throught the entirety of this read. The ending was the real cherry on top and brought a sense of intense satisfaction not only because of the romance but because of both the MCs' strength in character.

A glorious conclusion of one of my favorite series. Every character is wonderful and being able to follow their incredible growth throughout the series is amazing. Schellman really sets the bar high for historical fiction with her phenomenal world building and historically accurate and intricate inclusions throughout. Definitely had a few audible gasps as I was reading this and the amount of twists was spot on to intriguing but not overdone. You can truly feel Schellman's love for every character with the beautiful conclusion of this book and the series. Every character's story gets a fitting closure with future promise. 10/10 would recommend.

Overall, a solid read with interesting twists and turns. Characters and world building was great. I really enjoyed the ensemble cast. Still cant decide how I feel about the ending but wont say much else to not spoil anything. If you like true crime, you'll like this book

Could empathize with the MC at all.

Every single character was great. Absolutely loved the interactions between everyone. Even Dell had his moments because of the interactions he had with the programmers. This was a cute read and I enjoyed it. Loved the little message board messages at the beginning of each chapter and in the second epilogue. Very funny.
