I thought the concept was really interesting but wish it was funnier. I found it hard to really connect/enjoy the MC because of her demographic- she wasn't a very relatable character. The book did have some great moments that's caused a big emotional response and at one point I audibly gasped. Overall, I enjoyed reading this.

Short and sweet story about a woman and her cat. I enjoyed it.

This was such a great read! Omg I love Kris and Loch. They are so funny and cute but written with such depth. You are immediately tucked into the world. The initial conflict - I 100% resonated with and would also deem someone my enemy if it were to happen to me. It was also just hilarious. And oh my god this book was funny! I giggled, laughed, and cackled all through it. It also had some extremely heartfelt moments that really resonated. This one scene where Kris is talking about taking up space really made me feel things. Overall, just a good time all around with some heart to keep a strong foundation.

An enjoyable read. Not my favorite couple out of the series but they are interesting. I like the contrast of Fionn's internal response to the darkness to his brothers'. Fionn hid from it, Lachlan used it, and Rowan embraced it. I would have enjoyed it more if Rose went more down the posion route though.

I enjoyed this read. The premise was really interesting and characters were great. Lark's crazy crafting was unique and intriguing. The progression of their relationship was well written and felt earned, not rushed or random. There were some really funny and sweet moments and then it doesn't hurt that the spice was really spicing. Overall, I enjoyed and am looking forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. Rowen and Sloan were great and I loved their dynamic. Loved all the side characters too and am ready for the brothers' stories. All the characters were well written and 3 dimensional. The MC's motivations were clear and their backstories while not droned on about were mentioned enough to provide necessar context. The concept was a really interesting idea, was fast paced, and had all information needed to really delve into the story. I was invested the entire time. I laughed and I stressed. The build up tension from friends to lovers was great and made it when they got together very satisfying. Overall, a really good read. The author balanced the dark and disturbing elements with sweet and cute moments masterfully. Also doesn't hurt that the Spice was spicing.

Raybourn does it again! Absolutely loved this read - I would read 20 novels about these women. Absolutely love the concept and the storyline was really interesting. And masterful balance of flashback chapters. I definitely laughed outloud multiple times. The one scene with Constance really resonated. And of course the book is full on intense satisfaction of bad ass women taking care of business. And bonus: Raybourn delivers another extremely satisfying ending. Chefs kiss

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! The tone was immediately set and I had a great time while reading. Women being badasses is always a great time. I thought the dual timeline was perfectly balanced, for which I applaud the author. I felt immense satisfaction throughout this story. A really interesting concept and the dual time lines added the perfect amount of context but still left room for intrigue and interest for more. I would read so many more books in this world. And that ending!!!! So satisfying - love strong ass women taking care of business.

Really enjoyed this book. All the characters were extremely well thought out. They were complex and I could understand the motivations behind their actions. This is especially impressive because the story is done in 1st person though only Coal's perspective. The world building was also wonderful. It was interesting, complex but easy to follow, and really brought you into the world. And who doesn't love a good holiday story. I laughed, I giggled, I raged, and I tried not to cry. Overall, a really fun and well written read.

I have conflicting feelings about this book. The concept was really cool but I found myself wishing for more thrilling pacing and developments. The pacing just felt a little all over the place for me. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't say much else other than the ending was interesting and something I appreciate in the thriller genre.
This book did spark really interesting conversation though so I think if I had gone I'm with different expectations I would have enjoyed the book more.
