“Because I’ve already had everything else, and none of it feels a fraction as good as you do.”

Like the rest of the series I devoured Book 5 of the Wolf Hotel Series. This book took us through Henry and Abbi’s engagement and wedding and all the ups and downs that can bring, when your relationship went from zero to engaged in just a couple months. Navigating new friendships, new experiences, a very spicy halloween party (with a bit of sharing 🥵), new business ventures, new family, tabloid troubles, and a return to Alaska. The spicy scenes seemed less frequent but the heat of them made up for it, I will never look at a circus the same way. We got to see even more development of our main characters, the emotional growth we see from our main characters is at a great pace. And the side characters (even the new ones) are detailed in a way they are easy to picture in your minds eye. But like every other @katucker_ I hit the epilogue before I was ready for the story to be over. She is a queen of always leaving you wanting a bit more. The vibes in this series are immaculate.
There is some mention of grooming off page, in case that is a trigger for you.

“Crawl. To. Me.” - Silas

This is book 2 in “The Severed Signet” series by @authorellemaldonado. I received book one of the series Severed by Vengeance in the @probablysmutbookclub box in November, and just fell in love with her writing style. The characters are well developed and described, flaws and all. There is no skimping on the gore and darkness in this book nor the spice. Possessive Silas has delightfully dirty mouth that hits all the right buttons for Leni. Leni, is very upfront about her intentions and her desires in the most bold and candid ways, and would set the world on fire for the men she cares about. But once all the rescuing is done, the love is almost fairytale like, in the best ways. For a mafia romance I found this one low on angst and without the cursed third act break up to boot! It was a short spicy read and I am pumped for book 3 in April.

The author has dubbed this the perfect novel for anyone that lists Supernatural and The Ghost Whisperer on their comfort show this, and I totally agree. All of the characters are well developed, likable, and the dialogue was witty. Audra and Nadia were a duo that were not immune to drama and darkness, but worked through it and strengthened their bonds in the best ways. Audra shows that inner strength is literally made from that which did not kill us, just as the proverb suggests, and it is shored up and patched held in place with deep rooted faith. Add in the mystery on how to free herself from the literal ex from hell, navigating imperfect relationships, family drama, and devastating loss and you get the perfect paranormal mystery novel. Now I am a romance girly so would I have loved for her to end the book with the hunky professor? Heck yes. But I think homegirl just needs to be happy on her own for a minute and that is a good ending too. Lots of potential for a sequel or expansion. Or even a Hattie prequel!
One side note, there is some off page SA that is revisited and ALOT of religious input. I know both of those can be triggering to some.
