Becoming His by Albany Walker

This book is a standalone wolf shifter book. I love that this book brought out a different side of the mate bond. The bond isn't all easy, and you can see that it takes more than just attraction. Sophia is extraordinary. Unlike most wolf shifters, she is strong, sassy, and exceptional. Masen is used to being Alpha and doesn't adapt well to a wolf who doesn't do as she is told. I enjoyed the hardship between the main characters and the story that defines them both. Their personality and emotions are easy to connect too as the reader. Sophia's history impacts her current personality as she is adjusting to a new world, new mate, and life as the Luna besides Alpha Masen. Masen has a history that keeps them on their toes and engages a lot of feelings. Even when trouble finds them, they stick together, learning to be with each other and handle what life throws at them. This book has lots of steamy scenes throughout. I love that it ended sweet even though there wear lots of trials in the beginning.
I did notice some grammatical errors, but they wear easy to overlook. I loved this story and thought the author finished it well with the epilogue wrapping everything up nicely. I felt that the author portrayed feelings and the steamy scenes well enough though I wish there were some elaboration on the story's parts. It seems like the steamy scenes could have been more descriptive, and the tragic elements of the story could have been enhanced to invoke feeling. But overall, this was a fantastic shifter romance story with all the characteristics of one I have come to love.

This book was fantastically written to keep you spellbound, just like our main Characters Eve and Lachlan. The mystery of why Eve is being hunted takes precedence in this book. I love that we get to see Alpha Lachlan in a softer, gentler light as the mate bond intensifies. Fraught with danger at every turn, will the pair reach the answers they need. This book really brings in the other member of the Shadow Guild and their talents, as well as Eves. One minute they are too close to think straight, and the next, they are hunting the hunter in the underground of London. New powers, enhanced feelings, and lots of honesty leave the reader so connected to their characters that there is no way not to continue the story.
The author did a great job entrancing the reader with the characters' personalities and their biggest fears. We begin to understand both Eve and Lachlan's points of view through the challenges they face. Lachlan, an Alpha Wolf Shifter with a secret curse, definitely engages the readers' emotions. Eve becomes a more potent heroin despite protests and the mate bond. I enjoyed seeing Eve in a different light as well as with new powers to guide the mystery behind who she is and why people are after her,
I cannot wait to read the third installment of this series

The book begins, and we get immediately introduced to our main character Eve. I loved the setting of a city of magic that includes all our favorite fantasy characters. Although this one is focused on shifters, this fantasy land truly has the intrigue to add more to any story.
Eve is calculating, shy, hiding a huge secret, and of course, in the wrong place at the wrong time. These circumstances set the reader up, right in the middle of a conflict within the characters and even into this book's mystery.
I enjoyed Eve's personality info, like her chocolate addiction and even her secret. It made me want to know more about her and this story.
After an event of misfortune Eve is put in the exact spot she doesn't want to be. She is forced to work with the one person she doesn't want to her mate Alpha Lachlan.
What is she hiding?
Who is the murderer?
Why?
What is she going to do about it?
So many questions as you read this mysterious story. The author really thought about her character development and descriptions.
I truly enjoyed the intrigue. It kept me guessing thru the book. The chemistry of the characters and, of course, the plot even twisted and tangled was fascinating to unravel than the end, leaving me wanting more.
So excited to read the following Book, and see what's to become of Eve and Lachlan.

I loved the Author included a map at the beginning of the story. It was beneficial to reference the location and see the fantasy land created for this continuation of the Wolf Girl story. This book starts with a bang immediately; the reader is thrown into action, picking up right where the Author left off in the first book. I enjoyed that from begging to the end of this book. The connection of the main characters to each other prevails even over a distance. The author surprised me with more knowledge on the other Magical Creatures around and near Werewolf City, including the Paladins, Fae, and Witches.
I didn’t love this book as much as the first one. It definitely isn’t a standalone story. After a kidnapping, we get more info on our main character Demi. Then the story will keep you at the edge of your seat as she makes her way back to Sawyer through the different lands. She meets a whole new cast of characters while fighting for her life and trying to get back to Werewolf City. A bounty on her head couldn’t make this any easier. With the help of a few strangers and finally finding friends and family, even with lots of misfortune along the journey, they make it back to Werewolf City. She has learned far more about her past, herself, and her people.
I was surprised at how much Demi came to life as a strong female character through the peril and injuries. She stood out and was set apart not just for her unique talents but also in her outlook and personality. I enjoyed reading the story around her and her own history develop giving her a purpose even as a strong female. Her unique abilities definitely come into play in this book, both in her journey and even back home in Werewolf City with the Alpha (Sawyer’s Father).
In Werewolf City, I assumed the worst had happened, and the book would just include a happily ever after. I was so wrong and quite surprised by the series of events that follow. Finally leading us to a whole lot of revealed secrets and drama. The story has an abrupt end with a choice and attack that I never saw coming. This story made me feel all the emotions from happy to sad to surprised and back again.

This book was interesting, not as impressive as the first book, but it definitely made sense. I love how it could be a stand-alone book. The dynamic shift in the book takes place gradually, but when it does complete, the result is beyond what I would have expected. Starting off as an acquaintance with an oops night and then turning into friends and lovers was definitely different in the romance. This book was less emotional and more dynamic in characters' personalities and changes of character's hearts.
Cole and Sawyer captivated me for this drama. Sawyer came across as honest and helpful, while Cole came across as a prick. But to see the change in him as it progresses and falls depend in love with Sawyers was hopelessly romantic. What will the rest of the book contain? I guess you have to read it for yourself !! I definitely didn't expect all the surprises that this book entailed.

This book starts with very baffling flashbacks, of course, but also new issues. I kinda wish the author would have given us more info on the in-between from this one to the last book. But as the book progresses, we see a different side to this family. I guess trauma will do that. I love the new twist on characters we have grown to love and even the maturity shown in this book. While the book is still mature-rated, it didn’t disappoint in the romance and heart-wrenching details. Bianca Covington is so definitely different in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed her personality coming out and getting to k other characters we have met but not learned about. Although the book focuses on Bianca and Stone. The whole crew is present and represented minus Oakley. The book ends so sweet I could not wait to read the next book in this series. Despite not my favorite character, Bianca really does have a fantastic story and life-altering change in this book. I think the whole family adapted well and came thru on what matters most loved that there were life lessons interwoven into the story.

Right out of the prologue of this book, I'm Enjoying the authors' humor, making me smile and giggle as she starts the book. The author does a great job of some back story but adds some comedy to her characters' thoughts.
The characters are relatable, and the reader can even picture themselves with the situations she is talking about. This book is full of unexpected surprises. Relationships that work and don't work out. Choices and chances that I didn't expect or see coming. This book is appropriately named and such a sweet romance book with a dreamy setting.
I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more in this series.

I love that events are explained in the prologue of this book. I wished we had more info in my last review, and now I find it in this book. This book is heartbreaking, nothing like unrequited love, messed up circumstance, and the wrong man to leave you to spellbound. I love that author is continuing Biancas' story and delving so much deeper into her trauma and memories. The whole cast and crew are in the book, even though it focuses on Bianca and Oakley. The feelings are real and leave you crying, smiling, and even dreaming right along with the characters. I loved that the story is profound and said to the readers as Bianca is figuring out her memories. Which are new for us to see as the previous books didn't go into them as specifically. Even though it is the first year of her college, I think she lives in the past in this book more than any other has embraced. This spellbound journey has some profound twists and turns that will leave you reeling emotionally. Omg! What a fantastic book! This is perfect for a conclusion to the series and the still happy. I won't say anymore as you need to read this for yourself.
Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs
This book begins with so many questions in my mind as a reader. I was thoroughly interested after the intro of the book, but then it jumps. I think the first few chapters threw me off more than I expected. They just didn't seem to be coherent to the reader: no back story, just a big jump from one scene to the next. About chapter 6, I started to get interested to see where the story leads but after the intro still wishing for some back story. Why was the mate shot? What happened to the omega? How did they meet? What did the prologue have to do with the rest of the story? Why is the funeral meaningful? So many questions and so few answers from the author. All though I did enjoy the story and conflicts in his book. I love a happy ending, and the author did a great job. If you’re going to make so much of the story about the character's traits and personality, it would be nice to have more info. The reader knowing about her past in greater detail would help the book connect to the reader. It was rarely mentioned or skipped over as the current event because more heated. I never got the answers from the beginning of the book. Although I did enjoy the book, I still feel like I am missing a connection to the female character by the end of the story. I won’t be reading more in this series.
