Maverick and Emmie’s story pulled at all my heart strings. He’s over the top protective and grumpy - she’s pure sunshine. He’s got his walls up high and she’s got secrets. The one thing they have in common though right away? They absolutely love his daughter Rosie. As much as they might fight the attraction they have to one another at first, fate has a funny way of turning things around.

I loved this! I was hooked from the beginning, and couldn’t put it down. Asher and Theo’s story takes a whole new view on fake dating. Not only do they jump in head first together as complete strangers, they tackle hard obstacles and challenges as well, on television. They not only learn about one another as time goes on, but they discover things about themselves along the way too. The banter and slow burn between them was great, their story was full of fun and emotion. One of my absolute favorite parts about Asher and Theo- the way they communicated with one another - it pulled at all of my heart strings. I laughed, I cried and I just over all enjoyed this read so much.

I absolutely devoured this. Good girl x Bad Boy? Hollywood Actress X Olympic Fencer? Give me 14 of them right now. 

Seriously though, Reese and Dante’s story had everything. The ins and outs of their worlds, plus the deep inside look of how it really takes its toll on a person. What starts out with snippy banter and untrusting looks, between them turns into working together, team work, and most of all trust. Not only do they seem to see one another behind the walls they carefully have up, but they see behind the persona’s they’re supposed to be too. Reading about Reese fully embracing who she is and what she wants was so refreshing, especially when everyone just seems to want women to stand in line and listen. Dante realizing what his real passion was and what he really wants while also realizing what he no longer does was also very heartwarming. As always with a Kels & Denise book, my favorite thing of all? Communication, and the fear of being vulnerable with someone, but doing it anyway.

The absolute hate and banter between Jack and Wren is so strong and top tier. It’s almost like they double it to convince themselves they don’t have any other feelings. It’s intense, laughable and had me rooting for them the whole time honestly. They both also really worked on themselves in ways I don’t think they realized they needed to. Throw in the giant family and friend group again and it was such a great read. This series continues to be one of my favorites.

The last thing Jack was expecting was the one who was always on his mind hiding out in his pool house. Madison was hiding out until she could confront her father, but of course Jack had other plans. They come up with a game
plan and the rest is history as the feelings that linger between them.. aren’t hard to resist. Besides it is Silver Spoon Falls after all.

This was heart breaking and beautiful all at once. Sadie & Ben have that once in a lifetime kind of love. It’s intense, fast and all consuming. Ben has a rough past and a rock star lifestyle, Sadie is sweet and people pleasing to her core. Somehow they were drawn to one another and just fit, Was it perfect? No, it was even toxic at times. No matter what they always chose to love one another. Their story is raw and real and pulled at all of my heart strings. You get to feel
the good with the bad and everything in between. The emotions and fight, the love you feel it through every word CC writes in their story. This will be one that sticks with me, forever.

Getting to see more into Alek’s life and story pulled at all of my heart strings. Being able to see there is so much more to him than just his silent, grumpy, broody nature. Mia was absolutely wonderful, she works so hard for what she wants even with all of the outside noise. Mia and Alek’s together? Swoon, the tension, the banter, the angst?! It kept me hooked on their story. They seem to be the only two who can really see the other one, while also battling internal feelings too. Throw in the fake dating scheme and I think this just might be my new favorite from Kandi.

Who doesn’t go on a raid and expect to meet their soulmate? I of course am always a huge sucker for any story that has to do with Silver Spoon Falls. They pull at all my heart strings and get me every time and this one was no different.

Boss & Lexi had this push and pull tension. Will they? Wont they? I liked how Lexi didn’t back down and tried to push back. Boss trying to walk away, wasn’t working, and once he realized that all bets were off. Definitely a fun short read.
