The Assassin and the Pirate Lord- 4stars
--Celaena is a cocky passionate and strong character. I love her. Not sure how I feel about Sam and Arobynn yet. I will state I love how they freed the slaves and I also liked the fact that the Slaves were of multiple races as well.
The Assassin and the Healer- 4 stars
--I liked how this story showed how compassionate Celaena can be. I also really like Yrene as a character and I hope we get more of her in the future. I also thought Celaena was going to take her with her at one point.
The Assassin and the Desert- 4stars
--I loved all the lessons she learned from the Mute Master. I also loved seeing and meeting all the new characters introduced. I especially loved Ansel a lot! Her story on the other hand took me by surprise and like Yrene I hope we get more of her in the future.
The Assassin and the Underworld-4stars
--I just don't understand why you would introduce a love interest during a short story if he isn't the love interest in the main story. I have never heard anyone mention Sam before. Also I can't stand Arobynn and Lysandra at all! I really hope Arobynn gets what is coming his way!

--I had a feeling that it was a trap going after them. I also knew Sam probably wouldn't make it out alive in the end of the short stories. I did love seeing Celaena and Sam working on plans for a life outside the Assassin's Guild though. Broke my heart a little that she doesn't get to have her happiness. I HATE AROBYNN SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! I REALLY HOPE HE COMES UP IN FUTURE BOOKS AND SHE KICKS HIS SORRY ASS!! I am super intrigued to see where Throne of Glass will take Celaena!

I actually gave this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. This took me a bit to get into but when I did I was hooked! Lou is a very strong spirited independent woman with a soft heart. Reid is a very strong man of Faith but with a deep emotional side. They were the perfect match. I loved seeing them push each other to the point of Breaking yet they always help to bring the other up as well. I also loved seeing all the historical nuances they ended up using for the witches! Coco was an amazing character in hat I can’t wait to see more of in the next book. ALSO ANSEL IS A CUPCAKE THAT NEEDS TO BE HUGGED, LOVED, AND PROTECTED!!!!
