Such an easy read. Michelle’s writing is accessible and engaging. She’s a great storyteller and as you read you feel like you’re sitting with her having coffee. I loved the Obama’s before, but after reading this I have much more respect for them. Michelle is a brilliant woman & this book allowed her to shine. The book is relatable, inspiring and leaves you feeling hopeful about life and democracy.

I should start off by saying that I’m a big Brene Brown fan! I’ve enjoyed her books, TED talks, and research. This book was good because the focus was leadership. I enjoyed the stories she shared & practical steps she provided. As well, this books can be applied to anyone who leads and works with people. Gave me a lot to reflect upon as a leader!

It goes through each of the nine numbers and describes them with stories and insight that is easy to digest.
